Era Motorsport Heads to Goodwood Members' Meeting with Three Entries

CHICHESTER, England. (April 14, 2023) – Era Motorsport is excited to be returning to the hallowed grounds of the Goodwood Estate this weekend for the 80th Goodwood Members' Meeting.

For the highly exclusive event, Era is rolling out a trio of historic racing machines to compete in two of the highly coveted trophies over the weekend.

Competing for the Jim Clark Trophy and the Moss Cup, Era is excited not only have Kyle Tilley and Dwight Merriman on-track, but also to have racing legend Nicolas Minassian join the team for the weekend, and put down some miles in the Lotus Cortina.

"It's one of the coolest race weekends in the world," said Tilley of the Members' Meeting.

"It's an honor to be invited to the Members' Meeting with just one car, let alone three!

"Not only are some of the most incredible cars in history there, but they're actually being used the way they were intended.

"There's nothing like these cars racing today. No electronics, skinny tires, no huge aero holding you on the ground, it's all about the driver pushing the limits.

"Whether we're on track or not, ever single lap turned this weekend is going to be incredible to watch!"

Dwight Merriman, who will be driving his Aston Martin DB4 in the Moss Cup shared this sentiment, saying, "It's a rare thing to get to race these cars the way they were intended, so it's a no-brainer to be here with the DB4, really."

"These cars are a complete workout compared to something like the LMP2 car we race in IMSA, so it's a really exciting challenge every time I get behind the wheel."

And joining the team for the Members' Meeting, Nicolas Minassian said, "I'm super excited to be sharing a car with Kyle this weekend.

"This event is such a huge deal every year and it means a ton to be one of the drivers able to compete in it."

Jim Clark Trophy

The first race of the weekend for Era Motorsport will be the Jim Clark Trophy, a 45-minute race for just Lotus Cortinas to honor the car that Clark won the British Saloon Car Championship in.

The No. 18 Lotus Cortina will be driven this weekend by Kyle Tilley and Nicolas Minassian, as the race requires two drivers, with a driver swap during the race.

The practice session for the Jim Clark Trophy will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m., with the race itself taking place at 12:25 p.m. on Sunday.

The Moss Cup

The Moss Cup is a 20 minute sprint for closed-cabin GT cars built between 1958 and 1962.

While Dwight Merriman will be fielding the Aston Martin DB4, Kyle Tilley will also be entering the Moss Cup in a Lotus Elite.

The Moss Cup is sure to be one of the most exciting races of the weekend with some of the most famous race cars of all time battling all out on track. Practice will be on Sunday at 9:35 a.m., and the race itself will be later that day at 5:35 p.m.
