The No. 18 Oreca 07 LMP2 secured a third-place finish in the final race of the year at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
After a hard-fought season in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC), Era Motorsport’s No. 18 Oreca 07 LMP2 came away with a third-place finish in the 12-car LMP2 field at the Motul Petit Le Mans on October 11, following a tight battle in the closing hours at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia.

After three top-five finishes at Daytona, Watkins Glen, and Road America in Bronze driver Tobias Lütke’s debut IMSA season, Era Motorsport rolled into Petit Le Mans with confidence and its sights set on a podium to close out the rookie’s first year on the 2.540-mile (4.088 km) circuit.
Following a productive test at Road Atlanta between the previous IWSC round at Indianapolis, Lütke — joined in the car by Le Mans winner David Heinemeier Hansson and IMSA Champion Oliver Jarvis — continued to find comfort in the car and refine the setup across three practice sessions on Thursday. The team then secured sixth place in Friday qualifying, setting up a strong starting position for the 10-hour endurance classic.
When the green flag flew at 12:10 p.m. on Saturday to kick off the season finale, Lütke immediately showed impressive pace and composure through a grueling two-and-a-half-hour triple stint — the longest test of his driving skills to date.

Despite the demanding time behind the wheel, Lütke maintained consistency and control, navigating the first quarter of the race before handing the car off to Heinemeier Hansson in prime position to begin pushing toward the front of the LMP2 field.
Throughout the afternoon and into the evening, Heinemeier Hansson and Jarvis kept the No. 18 solidly within the top five. As the sun set over Road Atlanta, Jarvis’s final stint saw him climb from fifth to the lead, capping an intense late-race charge.
After a final splash of fuel to reach the finish, Jarvis brought the car home third, securing a podium to close out the season and earning Era Motorsport sixth place in the 2025 LMP2 Championship standings.

Tobias Lütke (Driver, No. 18 Era Motorsport Oreca 07):
“It feels so good — I’m so happy. To finish on the podium with this team is amazing. The whole crew has been incredible, and it’s been a fantastic experience.
“I love this track; it’s one of my favorites. I’ve raced here in LMP3 before, and it’s just the best. Old-school, fast, flowing, with elevation changes and everything you could want as a driver.
“Ten hours around here is a serious challenge, but everyone on the team put in one of their best performances of the year. It all came together perfectly.”

David Heinemeier Hansson (Driver, No. 18 Era Motorsport Oreca 07):
“It’s amazing. I think it’s a really nice way to finish a season that had its ups and downs, and to end it on a high note is all we could ask for.
“This race was incredible — I don’t think we put a foot wrong. We had one drive-through penalty, and that was it. Other than that, we just executed a really solid race. All three of us gave everything we had to be there at the end.”

Oliver Jarvis (Driver, No. 18 Era Motorsport Oreca 07):
“Oh, it’s a fantastic way to finish the year. A huge thank you to the team — they worked incredibly hard, gave us a great car, and executed flawlessly throughout the race. I’m absolutely delighted with the result.
“It’s been a long time coming, but we leave with a trophy and a strong result from a very tough race. A perfect way to end the season.”

Kyle Tilley (Team Owner, Era Motorsport):
“Another podium at Petit LeMans; a fantastic way to end what has been a trying season,” he said.
“I’m delighted that we were able to deliver Tobi his first IMSA podium; it’s been a long time coming and is richly deserved.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tobi for entrusting us with his maiden IMSA season. It’s been an adventure that we at Era Motorsport are proud to have been part of; we wish him every success in 2026.
“Lastly, an ENORMOUS thank you to our stellar crew; the best of the best and a group worthy of any top-tier program. Here’s to 2026 and righting some wrongs.”
