Era Goes Three for Three in 2.0L Cup at Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or

Dijon-Prenois, France (10 June, 2025) — Last weekend, Era Motorsport’s historics programme travelled to Circuit de Dijon-Prenois for the Peter Auto Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or, where Kyle Tilley and Oliver Bryant drove the No. 60 “Queen of Diamonds” 1965 Porsche 911 SWB to their third win in as many rounds of the 2025 2.0L Cup.

The team also fielded two additional cars at the event: a 1965 Lotus Cortina competing in the Classic Touring Challenge with Tilley at the wheel, and a Chevron B8, driven by Robert Shaw, in the Classic Endurance Racing I grid.

With three cars spread across three grids and three days of action, the team had a packed schedule for the Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or, but it was a weekend where Era rose to the occasion and proved themselves nonetheless.

This event was a special one for Tilley, who had been unable to join Bryant in the 2.0L Cup so far this season due to conflicting driving duties in the Era Motorsport Ferrari 296 GT3. But he had no trouble getting back to grips with the historic air-cooled machine, immediately showing pace in Friday’s free practice session.

In addition to Tilley’s pace, Bryant was flying in the Queen of Diamonds as well, setting the fastest lap of the session overall.

Their speed carried into Friday evening’s qualifying session, where a combined lap time of 1:39.468 put them on pole for Saturday’s 90-minute race, half a second clear of the rest of the field.

When the green flag dropped, Tilley surged ahead of the 25-car field, leading his entire stint before diving into the pits on lap 22 to hand the Porsche over to Bryant.

After spending the early part of his stint regaining track position lost to the mandatory Elite pit stop time, Bryant quickly found himself back in the lead on lap 41. He held that position for the final 11 laps, taking the chequered flag in first place to secure Era’s third consecutive 2.0L Cup win of 2025 and extend their championship lead.

“It was great to be reunited with Kyle in the 911 at Dijon exactly 12 months on from our first 2.0L Cup victory together,” Bryant said. “We had a strong pace all weekend, topping practice and qualifying. Kyle drove really well at the start and opened a gap, which made my stint more straightforward as I fought back through the pack to overcome our elite driver penalty during the pitstop.

“The car was faultless as always, thanks to the team at Era Motorsport. Next outing is Imola, which will be fantastic to race these cars around there.”

In addition to their success in the 2.0L Cup, Era Motorsport celebrated a class win and overall podium in the Classic Touring Challenge with Tilley at the wheel of the Lotus Cortina. After qualifying on outright pole, Tilley pushed the saloon hard through the hour-long race, winning the under two-litre class and going toe-to-toe with the big V8 Mustangs and Falcons to finish second overall.

“One of the most enjoyable races I’ve ever had, hats off to Bram in the Mustang. He drove a faultless race and soaked up everything I could throw at him”, Tilley said.

“The Cortinas are such a joy to drive, and Dijon is simply one of the best circuits there is, it was a brilliant way to finish the weekend.”

Robert Shaw’s Chevron B8 also performed well in the Classic Endurance Racing I field, completing the race in both reliable and competitive form.

Era Motorsport’s Peter Auto season continues with the Imola-Classic in Italy, July 25-27.

About Era Motorsport:

Era Motorsport has deep roots in racing. Founder Kyle Tilley started racing at the age of six, following in the footsteps of his father, and he never looked back. In 2018, Era Motorsport was formed in Indianapolis, Indiana with the idea of providing unmatched excellence in historic racing.

It didn’t take long for Era to expand into the world of professional sportscar racing, and by 2021 the team had won their first of two Rolex 24 at Daytonas and had a full-time entry in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. In 2025 they expanded once again into the world of GT3 racing, entering a Ferrari 296 GT3 in the Creventic 24H Series.

All the while, Era Motorsport continued its pursuit of perfection in the world of historic racing, expanding its presence back into Tilley’s home country of England. Era has made multiple appearances at Goodwood, including last year when they ran seven of the Shadow Can-Am cars as part of the Can-Am Cup Celebration at the 2024 Members’ Meeting, where the team also picked up their first Goodwood win in the Graham Hill Trophy.

Looking to the future, Era continues to expand and grow its reach into the racing world, as it looks to bring in a new era of racing.
